An educational seminar on "Knowledge Based Education" was held at the Convention Centre of Defence Authority Country & Golf Club, under the aegis of DHA Education Dte, here Monday. Director Education DHA Brigadier Iftikhar Arshad Khan (Retd) was the chief guest at the seminar.

Two syndicate panels comprising of various faculty members of DHA educational institutions made thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating presentations on different facets of the subject. The first panel headed by Commodore Imran Ansari (Retd), Principal Defence Authority Degree College touched upon the philosophical aspects of the topic.

They focused on the basic definitions and processes involved in knowledge acquisition, leading to the intricacies of knowledge management. The life of the Prophet (PBUH) was discussed as the ultimate source of divine knowledge. Later, speakers went on to explain how libraries and Internet could be optimally utilised as knowledge resources.

The last syndicate explained the processes of transiting from known knowledge to the unknown knowledge, through research methodology. At the moot, more than 1000 teaching faculty members or various DHA schools/colleges participated and deliberated upon various aspects of knowledge based education, aimed at making teaching more effective and useful.-PR
